How much clearance do I need under the gate for it to open?
This depends on the ground levels. At least 80mm for good clearance but this is different with every gate and driveway

What’s the difference between a sliding cantilever gate and sliding on a track?
A sliding gate on a track operates by moving sideways along a metal track fixed to the ground. Bottom wheels guide the gate along the track, allowing smooth operation. This system is commonly used in driveways that do not have enough space for a cantilever gate, helping to save space.
A sliding cantilever gate moves sideways without running on a ground track. Instead, it is supported by rollers fixed to a concrete base, allowing the gate to “float” above the ground. This type of gate is commonly used where a ground track is not practical or where a clean, low-maintenance solution is required.

Can I have my house name/number in the gates?
Yes, we tailor the design to your desire
If I get my own electric supply to the gates, what cable and power do I need?
You need a 240 volt supply to the gates, single phase. This needs to be connected and left at an isolator so KSW to connect from.
Is it best to have my driveway done before or after the gate installation?
It is best to have all the ground works ie- Posts, underground boxes and cables before the driveway is installed and then KSW can work with you after to the correct ground level
Can KSW match the colour of my gate to my garage door?
Yes, KSW have their own powder coating shop next door “Wakefield Powder Coating”. We have a range of colours in stock other than your standard colours. Out of stock colours can be ordered for an additional charge
What happens If there is a power cut?
On completion of the job, the customer will be given a manual release key for the gate motor which can be turned, switching the gate into manual to be operated by hand.
